Storage Auction Dates for August, 2012

Posted on

Storage auctions are a great way to score a great deal, or find some valuable items for resale. Made popular by the cable television series Storage Wars, storage auctions happen when renters abandon their self-storage units, and the storage company auctions off the items left inside. This August, Storage Choice has four auctions coming up, including one that will be filmed by Storage Wars Texas!

Upcoming Storage Auctions

  • Monday, August 6, is the auction being filmed. Storage Wars Texas will be at the Arlington location, and the auction will begin at 9 a.m. (Central)
  • Tuesday the 7th won’t be televised, but it will still be exciting! To participate, come to the Carrollton location, where the auction starts at 10 a.m.
  • The fun continues on Wednesday, the 8th. First, at 10 a.m., an auction will take place at the Houston W Airport location.
  • Also on Wednesday the 8th, the Houston Stafford location will host the last of our August storage auctions. It begins at noon, so get there early!

Actually, you’ll want to be early for any auction you attend. Bidders in storage auctions should be at least ten or fifteen minutes early, to sign in, be assigned a number, and get a copy of the rules. You’ll need to bring photo identification, and it’s a good idea to bring a flashlight, gloves, and whatever gear you’ll need to haul away your treasures.

Of course, self-storage is not all about storage auctions! Storage Choice has climate-controlled storage units, in a variety of sizes, protected by state-of-the-art security, and easily accessible to renters. If you need a self-storage unit for your furniture, give us a call and we will help you find the right size unit.
